OUR MISSION

The Mission of the John W. Looper Jr. Speech and Hearing Center shall be to operate, maintain and govern a center located in Dalton, Georgia, but serving the Northwest Georgia area. It shall provide appropriate diagnostic and remediation services for speech, language, voice, swallowing and hearing disorders. The services offered shall be of the highest quality available utilizing all appropriate technology. All services and facilities shall be offered without discrimination as to religious conviction, race, color, sex, national origin, or economic status.

We are committed to offering all individuals the “Freedom to Communicate”.

OUR AGENCY

We are the oldest and most experienced provider of speech and hearing services in Northwest Georgia. We operate with a professional staff of 1 Audiologist and 3 Speech Pathologists.

CREDITIALS/CERTIFICATIONS

The center is accredited by the National Association of Speech & Hearing Centers. Audiologists are certified by the American Academy of Audiology. Speech Pathologists are certified by the American Speech Language Hearing Association. Professional staff are licensed by the State of Georgia.

GOVERNING BODY

Looper Speech & Hearing Center is a private, not for profit 501 (c) (3) tax exempt organization governed by a local voluntary Board of Directors dedicated to meeting the speech, language and hearing needs of our area's children and adults.

Looper Speech & Hearing Center is a direct service provider, an information resource center and an advocate for people of all ages who are deaf or hard of hearing, or who have speech and language disabilities.

We are proud to be a United Way Agency and a member of the Dalton-Whitfield Chamber of Commerce.
